Winter in Cape Cod

I am visiting Cape Cod for the first time at the end of January. Considering I%26#39;ve never been there before, I was wondering if someone can suggest some fun winter activities (my boyfriend and I are staying for a long weekend)

Winter in Cape Cod

The Cape is very quiet in the winter, but that can make for a wonderful visit. Generally there is less snow on the Cape, unless we get a south coastal storm in which case the Cape gets buried.

Consider a trip up to Provincetown. Lots of good dining options. P-town stays lively even in the winter.

If you bundle up, it%26#39;s a great time for a walk on the beach.

Provincetown is great in the winter. I would also suggest visiting Chatham to shop and dine. Vinings Bistro is an excellent restaurant on Main Street. You can also make a trip to the Chatham lighthouse.

I agree with the previous poster to bundle up and visit a beach or two.

Nipnee 10,

Have you looked into the car ferry from Port Jeff to Bridgeport, CT, or from Orient Point to Rhode Island? I spent a lot of time in Jamesport last year and remember seeing a lot of N.E. plates out there in the summer.

Can assist you /w/ more info. I Still have family in: East Meadow, Levittown, Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, East Northport , Middle Village, Bay Ridge and spread along the South Shore. I%26#39;m a 45 year transplant, but you can guess where my heart is - just not my home. The only place with traffic as out of control as Fairfield County, CT, HAS to be Nassau County, LI. Now cars %26amp; houses of worship are grown instead of potatoes and corn. :))

As long as you%26#39;re able to time your ascent to the Whitestone Br., and into Westchester County and out of Conn., you%26#39;ll fly. What time of day are you planning to get on the road? (Big issue)

Otherwise, welcome to Connecticut, The Construction State.

ADM HALSEY

My boyfriend and I spent a halloween weekend in Chatham 2 yrs ago. It was very quiet, but that%26#39;s what we were looking for. some nice shops, a couple of nice dinners out and a beautiful bed and breakfast. We stayed at the Captain%26#39;s House Inn in the Hiram Harding room and it was fantastic. The breakfast and afternoon tea were delightful, the service was attentive but not obtrusive and the room was gorgeous. the only thing we didn%26#39;t get was a jacuzzi tub, but I have one at home that we never use anyway.

Whatever you do, have a great time.
