Hi, My 21 year old son and his girlfriend are going to a 4pm show of the Blue Man Group. Any suggestions what would be good for them to do before hand and what would a good restaurant be for them to eat at.......Mom%26#39;s treat. Nothing super fancy or expensive.........they are just 21.
restaurants and things to do
Hi Timetotravel104,
Check out www.maggianos.com it%26#39;s located at 4 Columbus Ave. within walking distance to the Theatre District. The parking garage we use is so convenient for both the restaurant and the theatres. It%26#39;s underneath the Transportation Building on the corner of Kneeland and Park Plaza at 10 Park Plaza. It%26#39;s extremely safe and very convenient.
The restaurant has a parking validation on Monday-Friday after 5 and on weekends up to 3 hours. It%26#39;s well worth it.
My nieces are 18 %26amp; 20 and they like this restaurant a lot, it%26#39;s one of there favorites. We took them to Legal Seafoods a few times but they still say they like Maggianos. The prices are pretty reasonable too and the food, especially there ';House specialty salad'; is one thing that they have to, have to try, because it%26#39;s JUST incredible!

While not exactly in the theatre district, maybe the Hard Rock Cafe, which is on Clarendon St (about 4 blocks away) would appeal.
Other places immediately in the area of the theatre, and worth considering, are: Jakob Wirth (German), Jae%26#39;s (Asian fusion), Bennigan%26#39;s, or maybe Fire %26amp; Ice (also on Clarendon St) or Bertucci%26#39;s (around the corner, in the same building as Hard Rock)
You don%26#39;t mention where they%26#39;re coming from, or whether they%26#39;re driving, taking the ';T';, etc. The Hard Rock and Bertucci%26#39;s are right across the stree from Back Bay station, and there is a parking lot there, also. The other places are within a short walk from either Arlington St or Boylston stations on the Green Line, or Medical Center Station on the Orange Line. Parking and general traffic in the theatre district is kind of a pain right now because of construction.
I recently ate at the Paramount on Charles Street near the Theatre District and thought it was exceptional. Couldn%26#39;t believe the quality and quantity of food for the price. It%26#39;s only a 10 minute walk or so to the theatre district. Charles Street is also lovely to stroll down.
I always forget about the Paramount! I haven%26#39;t been there for years, but everyone I hear from says it%26#39;s still a great place.
