I noticed most of the restaurants on Cape Cod have not been reviewed by posters. When I find the time, I pick a restaurant that I%26#39;ve been to this year and write a quick review. I know many of the regulars (Cape Cod Charlie, Minivanmom,...)could share a great or not so great dining experience. You just click under dining, pick a restaurant and write a review. Anyone???

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, thinking...........
I%26#39;ll give it some thought and report back :-)

CCC %26amp; mvmo2 will steer you right. I%26#39;m just along for the editorial oversight %26amp; content verifiction training.
Well, maybe not ONLY that :)).

Okay I paged through and added some thumbs up to Dunbar Tea Room, Baxter%26#39;s Boat House, Clancy%26#39;s on Upper County, Mason Jar, Ocean House and few others. I also tried to add Bonatt%26#39;s in Harwich and Clancy%26#39;s Beach House in Dennisport. Don%26#39;t know if that worked. Had to add my negatives to others for Sam Diego%26#39;s in Harwich, dinner at Heath %26amp; Kettle and Yarmouth House all three of which can only please gourmands, not those who want their food to actually have a flavor of some sort. La Scala had mixed reviews. We only went once and would not return. I saw a lot of old listings on there and jotted CLOSED in their subject lines. Wonder if they will update these. NAOMI, I was surprised at the negative reviews of Tugboats. We ate there once and thought it was okay but wouldn%26#39;t go there again since we prefer nearby Baxter%26#39;s right on the water which is fun with delicious seafood. Give it a try on a sunny day or evening with the kids this summer and let me know what you think okay? So, lovethecape, thanks for the inspiration though I noticed (La Scala) that I had been there before long ago.
Whoops, make that Sam Diego%26#39;s in Hyannis...I knew it was something with an H. I must have been thinking of Ay Carumba in Harwich which was not worth repeating either.

I wrote this review in July or so in response to a previous post about Baxters boathouse. I have to say that when I was in there in September with C %26amp; T, it had improved greatly. The food was better than in a long time and the facility was much cleaner.
The whatever crowd in the bar was a little too impressed /w/ themselves for my blood, but eminently harmless nonetheless. Nice horsies on their knockoff RL Polo%26#39;s.
Even the girls working the foodline in the back were much more pleasant %26amp; very friendly to me %26amp; mine. It was a great ';hello'; to days long since departed.
I strongly advise a visit here for an excellent meal. The clams were off the charts %26amp; the bruces were ice cold. Excellent medicine for a rainy/muggy day in Hyannis.

I%26#39;m going out on a limb here - but the last 3 times my family and I ate at Baxters, it was very costly and lousy. The outside was not at all clean and the service was ';pitchy'; at best....
However, my daughter did have fun walking around ouside in the back and playing with the chicken-sized seagulls. It is quite convienently located and the parking is cake - even while running in a rainstorm. But that%26#39;s it.
Bring your wallet, sit out back, have a cold one (or two), stuff your face pay your BILL and say: ';It%26#39;s OK dear, as long as we%26#39;re on the Cape';.
What%26#39;s not OK is that somewhere this restaurant became first a shell, and now a vague shadow of it%26#39;s former fine self. In the seventies %26amp; eighties I was always thinking about the food here during my 4 hour ride from CT. Great meals to be had and fun by all.
I never really did understand what happened here, but whatever it was ( the major remodeling job?) it precipitated a chain of events. And to this day, none have been reversed and my heart (and wallet) stays broken.
But the beer is still cold and the bar can still be fun. One just never knows who one will run into here.
Wow, Cape Cod Charlie, you%26#39;ve been busy! I%26#39;m sure your posts will be a great help to Cape visitors. Sorry you weren%26#39;t impressed with Ay Carumba. We go there for a change of pace when and like their fresh salsa and margaritas.
Adm - Never tried Baxters. Maybe in late June or September when its not too busy on the Cape.
Will try to write a few more reviews but need to get my holiday cards out first!
Captain Frosty%26#39;s in Dennis
Eastham Lobster Pool in Eastham
Arnold%26#39;s - some of the best fried seafood, but alos wonderful raw bar - In Eastham
Ay Carumba! in Harwich is some of the best Mexican food we have had on the east coast!
Try Sienna in Mashpee Commons (especially the butternut squash ravioli with browned butter/sage sauce) - yum yum!
Also, for a quick lunch, Panera Bread in Hyannis can%26#39;t be beat.
Roadhouse in Hyannis on West Main St. is consistently good.
Brazilian Grille in Hyannis is deeelicious!
GM in Cotuit
I personally find that the ability to write one and only one review (in the dining section) inhibits me - I really do find that places change over time (or maybe what I%26#39;m looking for changes).
That said, here are my favorites, centered around Dennis...
Captain Frosty%26#39;s 6A Dennis- fast food, seasonal
Kate%26#39;s ice cream 6A Brewster - seasonal
Marshside, Dennis - good %26amp; friendly basic food altho the pasta dishes are not their best offerings IMO
Grumpy%26#39;s 6A good breakfasts - breakfast %26amp; lunch only
Brewster Fish House - excellent but crowded
Sparkfish - if only they had a half decent wine list I%26#39;d go there more often
Scargo Cafe - good food and wine altho can be leisurely... aka slow
I agree with others on Roadhouse in Hyannis
I%26#39;m anxious to try some of the others suggested here, thanks all!
