Cape Cod

My husband and I are planning on going to Cape Cod with my 1 year old and my parents in May, can anyone suggest the best town for us to stay in, we like the beach but would also like to stay somewhere where we can walk to nice restaurants etc ideally, I thought of Provincetown but a lot of accomodation won%26#39;t take children. Any suggestions would be great.

Cape Cod

becks1,

Need a little bit more info...mode of travel, interests etc.

I might reconsider staying in Ptown /w/ a 1 yr old unless I was on one of the extreme ends on Comm St...but let better versed Moms guide you on this one with their comfort levels.

Also, feel out your M %26amp; D as to where they sit on the ';liberated lifestyle'; meter - this might settle it once and for all. You don%26#39;t need any ethical or religious issues surfacing from closet conservatives in front of your impressionable one year old.

Be blunt - otherwise roll the dice.

Conversly, I have always found Chatham to be a walkers paradise with all in tow.

Staying downtown in Chatham would give you the ability to walk to many restaurants and to one of a kind shops. With a one-year old and all the trappings, you%26#39;d need transportation to the beach however you may not have real beach weather, especially compared to FL, in May. I agree with Adm that you will get better advice if you provide a budget, whether you want a house or a hotel room, how long you%26#39;ll stay and we%26#39;ll assume you have a car but just don%26#39;t want to be driving a lot. The Cape is so beautiful that I think you%26#39;ll want a convenient base from which to explore. If you%26#39;d like a recommendation of one great guide book just say so. Have fun with your planning.
