Hi All,
I%26#39;m headed to Provincetown for New Years Eve and every guesthouse/inn seems to have a minimum 3 night stay for New Years Eve. Does anyone know if there%26#39;s anyplace in p-town without this minimum stay for new years eve??
Thanks!

You might try this website...

It doesn%26#39;t surprise me that there is a minimum... it%26#39;s not only New Year%26#39;s Eve, but it falls on a weekend as well.
You might consider a room in another town, and when you get to P-Town, you just may be able to find a ';last minute'; cancellation available...

Thanks jsboston! That%26#39;s what I%26#39;m assuming I%26#39;ll have to do...do you know of any good hotels in the towns near provincetown? I%26#39;m not incredibly familiar with that area - I%26#39;ve only travelled to other parts of the cape!
Sorry to disappoint... I don%26#39;t know names of any places in particular outside of P-Town... I live locally enough that in the event I can%26#39;t find a place, I just drive home. The P-Town places that I%26#39;ve had luck (getting a room) at are Provincetown Inn, Carpe Diem, the Crown %26amp; Anchor, the Best Western, Land%26#39;s End Inn (pricey, but my all-time fave), and the Holiday Inn in Truro. I%26#39;ve stayed in many more, but their names escape me and I honestly can%26#39;t tell you which are open, have minimum stays, or even exist anymore, since I haven%26#39;t been to P-Town since spring.
I%26#39;ll keep my eyes and ears open, since I%26#39;m thinking of a road trip myself...
*GRIN* Thanks again jsboston! I appreciate it! :-) I%26#39;ll look at those places to see if there%26#39;s any availability! I know it%26#39;s a tough time to try to head anywhere...being as it%26#39;s new years eve. My partner and I decided kinda last minute to make a trip up there as we%26#39;ll be back in MA for the holidays visiting family. Thanks again for your help so far! Heh - while we%26#39;re at it - if I do happen to find a hotel for new years eve - any good suggestions for what to do in P-town for new years? any good romantic restaurant choices for that night??? Thanks so much!!!
My hands-down favorite restaurant in P-Town is the Martin House on Commercial St. I%26#39;ve had New Years Eve dinners there whenever I%26#39;ve been in town that night. It%26#39;s very romantic... an old house whose individual rooms have been converted into intimate dining rooms with only a couple tables in each... some with fireplaces and ocean views. Here%26#39;s their website: http://www.themartinhouse.com/
Check out the A-House (Atlantic House) for either a quiet fireside cocktail with a wonderful old jukebox in the ';little bar'; (opens early in the day) or later in the ';disco';... THE place to go.
PS - I just tried to see what was on the menu, and noticed their website hasn%26#39;t been updated recently... I hope that is just an oversight on their part... call them, in any case.
Also, here%26#39;s the Land%26#39;s End website: http://www.landsendinn.com/
Thanks again, jsboston!!! :-) I too noticed that the martin house website was a bit out of date but that%26#39;s no biggie...I%26#39;ll call and see if I can get a reservation. :-) I figure if I make a dinner reservation for us, it%26#39;ll make me work harder to find someplace to stay! Thanks so much for all of your help!!!!
What a fun way to ring in the New Year, spending it in P%26#39;town.
Something to look forward to, huh. :-)
Here%26#39;s a thought... tell the person at the Martin House you%26#39;re looking for a room... they might know of something. I know it works in reverse... when I%26#39;ve wanted to get a dinner reservation, innkeepers have been able to pull strings to get a table on otherwise busy nights. It can%26#39;t hurt to ask.
I was just looking at the list of lodging on this website, and was reminded of Fairbanks Inn... a lovely place with nice rooms... some with fireplaces.
I also noticed that another place I%26#39;ve stayed at isn%26#39;t listed... Bullring Wharf. I don%26#39;t know if they%26#39;re open, but if they are, they have a parking lot near the center of town, are right on the beach, and there are some rooms with views, some with lofts, and some with fireplaces.
