I have been researching places in the city and am looking for suggestions for places for a baby shower for about 20 people. I am considering L%26#39;espalier, the ritz, azure at the lenox--does anyone have another other suggestions for places that do a nice job with private dining? Thanks!

The Cafe Flueri (or it used to be called that) at the Langham hotel is a beautiful room and they do a nice job with food and service.
Not sure if Cambridge is out of the question, but Upstairs on the Square has great rooms for bridal showers and is now offering high tea.

I%26#39;ve been to a few functions and some dinners there before. They are extremely professional to deal with and the food was very good there for serving so many people by there staff! It%26#39;s located at 307 Victory Rd. 617 472-4500. It%26#39;s right on the boardwalk at Marina Bay. It%26#39;s got classic and contemporary Italian cuisine and it%26#39;s a really fun relaxing type spot overlooking Boston Harbor.
Another really good place for something like you%26#39;re planning is Venezia%26#39;s Italian Restaurant located at 20 Ericcson St., in Dorchester. It%26#39;s very easy to get to and also very relaxing and quite nice. The directions and menu are online if you want to check them out.

Maggiano%26#39;s at 4 Columbus Ave www.maggianos.com is extremely good with large groups, there function rooms are terrific for this type of group.
There%26#39;s one last place, it%26#39;s in the Boston Harbor Hotel, I%26#39;m hearing all kinds of good things about this Chef Daniel Bruce! See what they can do for you. It%26#39;s got unbelievable elegant views of lovely Boston Harbor! It%26#39;s located at 70 Rowe%26#39;s Wharf...617 439-3995. I know there Sunday Brunch was rated quite high and also voted Best of Boston by Boston Magazine.
