Any place like Pelham House?

I was so disappointed to find out that Pelham House has closed and is being turned into condos. We stayed there a few years ago and had just decided to go back this summer. Now I%26#39;m stuck-can anyone recommend any place like Pelham House? We want to be on the ocean, with a view, quiet and if possible walkable to places for dinner. It took us forever to find Pelham and it was perfect. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The same thing happened to us. Ours was the Shifing Sands. The owners who built it retired and sold it to a group headed by the son of the McCarthy who owned the Pelham House. The SS was sold and then, I think sold again and it too was supposed to be turned into condos but that hasn%26#39;t happened so far. Anyway, what about renting one of those condos? If the Pelham House won%26#39;t be done in time then try the Edgewater which is complete and directly on the ocean. Are you familiar with the Ebb Tide Restaurant? Edgewater is across from that and there are several other hotels and even a deluxe B%26amp;B directly on the beach. OR, you can do what we did, we found ourselves owning a house in Dennisport with the help of Bob McCarthy%26#39;s sister, a realtor, no less. Depending on how many of you their are she and her agency can find you a house rental. They have over 300 options to discuss with you. You might be surprised how convenient and roomy a house can be compared to hotel rooms. If you have a family you can save money too. If you need more specifics, write back.

Try the Ocean House in Dennis Port. It%26#39;s on Depot St and it is AMAZING! It is on the water and if you can get a table on the wondow the ocean crashes right under the wondow. Bring you credit cards because it is expensive, but worth every penny!
