Hey there,
I%26#39;m heading to Boston on Sunday the 27th Nov for 2 nights and am sooo excited as I stayed there for 6 months in the summer of 98!
Basically I%26#39;m wondering if there is anything going on over that weekend that we could go to?? I%26#39;m sure we%26#39;ll have fun anyway but just in case we miss out on something big!!:)
Thanks!

It is not something ';big'; but if you are a basketball fan, the Celtics are playing at The TD Bank North Garden on 11/28/05.

Hi Bradshaw,
Lots and Lots of shopping will be going on that weekend :)
If you want to get information, these websites will be helpful:
http://www.boston.com
http://boston.citysearch.com
http://www.bostonphoenix.com
http://www.weeklydig.com
They all have listings of theater/concerts/sporting events/bands and clubs as well.
Have fun!
Excellent! Thanks a million!! Both replies have been really helpful!
I would love to go to that basketball game but I don%26#39;t want to buy the tickets online in case it turns out that we don%26#39;t make it. Do you think it would be ok to wait until we get there on Sunday the 27th to buy them or is that leaving it too late? Where do we get them and how much are they likely to be?
Thanks again!!:)
You can usually purchase tickets at the box office at The TD Bank North Garden, (the venue for the games). There should be some tickets available now and on the day of the game but it would be more opportunistic to purchase them the day before the game, if possible. If not, you still have a good chance.
If you have valid, current student IDs, you can purchase $40 seats for $19 each.
Check the Celtics Website at:
www.bostonceltics.com
for game and ticketing information.
Click on tickets.
You can purchase tickets online or by a toll free number or in person. You can also make ticket availability inquiries by email through the address on the Website. Tell them you are coming from abroad and they may be exceptionally hospitable.
Be advised that the $40 seats which you may obtain for $19 are the most distant from the court of play. For decent viewing, you will have to pay $100 to $200 for each ticket. If you can afford those tickets, you will really enjoy the game. You can decide on the basis that you may only have this opportunity once or once in a very long interval of time, therefor it might be worth it to spend this amount of funds.
