Plus size shopping for women....

Hi everyone,

I will be visiting Boston (Copley Square area) in February and have been unable to find any women锟斤拷锟斤拷锟斤拷锟斤拷锟絪 plus size shops (like Avenue) apart from a Lane Bryant shop in Cambridge. Is that the only outlet?

Thanks,

Carol.

Plus size shopping for women....

Try Macy%26#39;s in Downtown Crossing. Marshall%26#39;s is there as well now and has a row of racks of women%26#39;s plus sizes. Notice I said a row of racks? You%26#39;ll be lucky if you see it! The stores cater to the 20 year olds unfortunately that%26#39;s always been the case, we just didn%26#39;t realize it was so bad!

When Filene%26#39;s closed that was it for me! I refuse to shop at Kohl%26#39;s and Target sorry! I don%26#39;t know what to tell you! I have friends that told me about Bloomingdale%26#39;s Jeans at the Chestnut Hill Mall, so I finally hit that place. They%26#39;re wonderful in that store with the Women%26#39;s department, expensive but well worth it with the quality. It was on Oprah just the other day about there Jeans! Check them out when you%26#39;re here. It%26#39;s a beautiful Mall any way to see!

Have fun shopping, you%26#39;ll eventually find what you%26#39;re looking for, you have to dig that%26#39;s all! To tell you the truth? We all do these days with these stores!! The Retail World better wake up, there%26#39;s a lot of things they need to get with the program with!

Plus size shopping for women....

I go crazy constantly looking for Women%26#39;s Average Petite pants. Do you think I can find them? No, they%26#39;re Women%26#39;s Tall or Long Petites and they%26#39;re swimming on you when you hold them up to your leg and I mean swimming! It%26#39;s incredible. What do they think every one is over 6 feet tall in the world? It%26#39;s amazing.

My mother is a size 4 and needs the Short Petite leg, do you think she can get them? She found one pair the other day and was in her glory because she didn%26#39;t have to bring them to the tailor.

You just have to shop around. Check TJ MAXX, that%26#39;s one place you can do well in! Marshall%26#39;s in Downtown Crossing is a good one, The Chestnut Hill Mall is great and like you said the Avenue is good, although lately I don%26#39;t really like the quality of the clothes there or in Lane Bryant%26#39;s, the quality went out the window or something!

Good luck shopping!

Talbots on Boylston Street at the corner of Clarendon has a great selection of plus sizes (in petite also). It is in Copley Square.

YES you%26#39;re right it%26#39;s GREAT! I forgot about that place, I go to the one at the North Shore Mall all the time....

Thank you for taking the time time to reply.

Many thanks,

Carol.

Definitely try Talbots on Boylston (or other locations). I know they carry plus misses and plus petites sizes. I don%26#39;t take plus sizes but I really like the quality of their clothing. Virtually all of their clothing is available in both misses plus and petite plus sizes (stores usually have a good selection of plus sizes).
