I am looking at staying 4 nights in Boston and have been looking at two hotels.
The Charlesmark Hotel and
Courtyard by Marriot Boston Tremont Hotel
Any advice and opinions will be greatly appreciated
hotel advice/opinions
Good morning Calimerox,
The Charlesmark Hotel located at 655 Boylston St. is in a great location for you, if you do decide to stay here. It%26#39;s got great reviews on TA right here and is rated #2 for hotels on this site.
The Courtyard by Marriott Tremont Hotel is going to be quite a hotel when they get finished with it, you mark my word. The renovations started on August 5th and won%26#39;t be completed until March 06th. When the Marriot Corporation gets through with this hotel? It%26#39;ll be VERY VERY nice! One of these days? It%26#39;ll be rated right up there with the Charlesmark Hotel. It%26#39;s just going to take a little more time for people to agree with us on this area of Boston getting a little ';clean up'; that%26#39;s all!
It%26#39;s actually close to SO much here as well. The Theater District, Park Sq. area, the Boston Common, the Public Gardens, Downtown Crossing. It%26#39;s not that far from Boylston St. to be able to walk up through Newbury, yet you can still head down around the Quincy Market area from here too, get those walking shoes out for this trip! You won%26#39;t want to take taxis everywhere you go when you see how close things are at these two hotels!
The Marriott just might have a lot of the major renovations done by now, after all March is around the corner! It%26#39;s up to you, you have to remember one thing though, if they%26#39;re working on that hotel, it%26#39;ll be early in the AM%26#39;s during the week when the drills all start! So think about that!
Have a great time where ever you decide to stay!

Forget it
The Courtyard is in the high crime area
Its just a converted hotel with the Marriott name on it. Niteclub on third floor with 1000ppl up late at night with noise complaints
People complain all the time about not getting any sleep with the crowds spilling into the street at 2am
Check out
NIne Zero
Omni Parker House
Better location/value and quiet
Go online for packages
I got this by email, and it looks like a good deal... great location and price. The special expires 1/18!

I think you would enjoy the locale of the Charlesmark, the Omni Parker House, or Nine Zero far more than the Marriott Courtyard.
Just come back from a weekend in Boston, and stayed at the Colonnade in Huntingdon avenue. very reasonable and accomodating
